The Parish Council engaged a professional organisation, 2020Consultancy, to carry out assessment of speed, volume and type of traffic in Newdigate in an effort to gain evidence supporting our requests to Surrey County Council for better traffic calming in the parish.
The Draft Report, shown below and we must emphasise this is a draft, has been issued to the council and will debated internally before next steps are taken. Any proposals that are taken forward will be subject to prior consultation with residents before any action is taken.
Update – February 2019 – The council have now decided that to ensure continuity of the work programme that the full review of the report will be deferred until after the Parish Council elections on 2nd May so that it can be dealt with fully by the new council.
