Cudworth Lane (D302) Newdigate and Henfold Lane (D301) Beare Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Cudworth Lane (D302) Newdigate as extends from its junction with (D302) Church Lane to its junction with (X310) Green Lane and (X302) Cudworth Lane. There is no alternative route for this closure; and (b) Henfold Lane (D301) Beare Green as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “The Black Hut” to its junction with (C59) Parkgate Road and (C59) Village Street. Alternative Route: Henfold Lane, Red Lane, Brockhamhurst Road, Leigh Road, Shellwood Road, Broad Lane, and Parkgate Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Freeflow Traffic Management Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over Part (a) 5 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, and Part (b) 7 days Monday to Friday only, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
